William Tollsten is a 23 year old up and coming filmaker from Sweden. He has just finished his Screen and Media diploma at Sydney Film School in Australia and In Memoriam is his directorial debut.
In Memoriam is my first short film and it is about the effects of alzheimers, both for the person it directly effects but also for their family and loved ones.
I wrote it during my year in Australia as a goodbye to my own grandmother whoose alzheimers had been deteriorating for quite som time, and I did not know if I was going to see her again after I left my home country of Sweden to study film in Australia, Sydney.
It is a project stemming from myself but I hope many can relate to the feeling of having this deciese in the family and let it be some sort of support to those that need it.
