Director Biography - Gilberto Ramiconi

Gilberto Ramiconi è un regista, montatore e compositore italiano. Il suo lungometraggio The Engagement 2 (2025) è stato selezionato in festival come l’Ostia Film Festival e il COLIFFE – Coliseum International Film Festival. Il cortometraggio The Widow (2023) ha invece partecipato al Ginko Film Festival 2025, dove ha ricevuto un premio.

Director Statement

In Anticipation of… observe what we often prefer not to see: aging, solitude, the suspension of time, the expectation of something. The title itself suggests anticipation, the anticipation of death. The film is static in structure. It lasts 61 minutes, divided into four chapters: Morning, Lunch, Evening, Dinner. In each chapter, a single 10-minute still shot shows us a fragment of the elderly man's day.
