Impressions of Red

Rose’s boyfriend Peter is having his first exhibition as a debutant painter. At first, Rose seems happy and supportive on Peter's behalf, but as the exhibition gets closer, Rose's perception of herself changes, and she is confronted with a deep feeling of jealousy.

Director Biography - Sara Noor

I'm a Danish/Iranian filmmaker with a humanistic focus. I'm based in Copenhagen Denmark. I started off working with personal documentary, mostly exploring familial relationships and background stories of my Iranian relatives.
I later moved towards fiction, and at the moment I'm interested in female figures breaking with social stereotypes focusing on how this challenges their mental strength. With offset in realism I like to examine how feelings and subjective perception can expand the character's understanding of the "real world". I'm currently working on my next short film which touches upon these themes.
