Director Statement

During my career I´ve had the experience of working with children as actors, in three movies in leading roles: Un embrujo, De la Infancia, and Ana and Bruno. The stories about children lifestyle who act and their families sometimes exceed what is proposed to be recreated in fiction. The reasons why they dedicate themselves to working as an actor at an early age vary, but most of the time there is induction or pressure from adults. The micro universe of children who want to be famous also shows the idea of the future that Mexican children have.

Sometimes parents fulfill the dream of their children by bringing them closer to the processes that will allow them to be on the radar of those who seek talent, or by taking them to acting schools, others want to fulfill through their children their frustrated desires to succeed in the industry and incidentally, when they are successful, they find extra support for the family economy. This film narrates human stories without judging, only exposing the way in which these are given. Relationships recording the dreams and expectations of children, the environment of competition and fellowship with other young aspirants for success and their coexistence with the family environment, the pressure or support to achieve it, and the changes that occur in personal relationships derived from the pursuit of the vital objective that they have set themselves.

The fundamental of the life stories will be the accompaniment of the protagonists in the evolution of their career and their projects from their training, education process and their first approaches to the talent selection processes, the enjoyment or suffering of work and their satisfaction with the result.
