Cause I found a lump inside

I'm A Survivor
A Cancer Survivor
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.

My Sister Shirley
My Sister Terry

(No Never Give Up)
You need to check yourself every year
You gotta keep up the fight

Make everything, everything is clear
See your Doctor every year

(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Cause I'm A Survivor

RAP 2:
From the day I was diagnosed ,
Pain stricken, how can this happen to me
Lord please, all I could do is pray
Hoping somehow the Father would take it away
I went from dreads to the ball head, CHEMO
I took a hope in my faith that just wouldn't let go
Never giving up belief that I'm A Survivor
I am a cancer Survivor

VERSE 3:
Now ladies don't you fool around too long
That's why I'm here singing you this song
(You gotta keep on pushing)
Cause I'm A Survivor
Don't fool around
A Cancer Survivor
Cause I'm A Survivor
I believe in myself and this song

CHORUS 3:
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
A Cancer Survivor
Cause I'm the one that's got to make first place
I won't do anything that I have to do
(I'm A Survivor)
While God's here protecting us to survive
(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
A Cancer Survivor
(Never Give Up, Never Give Up)
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.

Know your family history
It will give you victory
A Cancer Survivor
(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm A Survivor, Survivor, Survivor
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
(Never Give Up)

I'm A Survivor
I'm A Survivor
A Cancer Survivor
(Never Give Up)
(Never Give Up)
Yes, I'm A Survivor
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
I'm A Survivor
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
A Cancer Survivor
S. U. R. V. I. V. O. R.
Were Survivors
I'm A Survivor,

Never Give Up

Artist Biography

Diva Ladee Chico, performing artist extraordinaire, just dropped her new CD titled, I’m A Survivor. And a survivor she is, with a budding career that began in Huston, Texas, where she was “tightenin’ up” at sweet sixteen.

The single 'I’m A Survivor' features rap artist BlaqueIce, produced/composed by James Gardiner aka Jim Gardiner Pajama Studios/Touch-Tone Productions is included on the 'We Got Next II' album compilation released in July 2018 by Indie record label Kulturezine Media Interactive, LLC.

Now that she is in full bloom and a musical tour de force, she can recall the early days and coming to the Bay Area. It was the late ‘70s; she met producer Wayne Henderson of the Jazz Crusaders and was signed to Fantasy Records. The label introduced her to, then fellow newcomers, Ramsey Lewis, Miki Howard, Roy Ayers, Patrice Rushen, Narada Michael Walden, Side Effect, and others with whom she worked to disrupt the jazz scene.

By the ‘80s, Chico was singing the blues with greats like John Lee Hooker, Sr., and Deacon Jones and the Bucket of Blues.

Today, with decades that showcase her talent, versatility, and international flair, she enjoys the freedom of doing her own thing as an independent artist. In fact, she’s recently performed for the West Coast Blues Society at venues throughout California, and in cities like L.A., Long Beach, Oakland, and San Francisco.

Chico is regularly part of the line-up for Las Vegas’ renowned “Take the Stage,” a show created by producer, Sherry Gordy. You can catch Chico singing with the East Bay’s fabulous Oakland Blues Divas, and also shakin’ things up with her own band, Off Da Richter.
