Ilka Hartmann: A Right to History
A short doc on German-born activist photographer Ilka Hartmann. After settling in San Francisco's Bay Area in the 60s, Hartmann photographed some of the era's most influential social and political activism. Director Liz Irons captures some of her memories about it.

Liz Irons is a filmmaker and musician living and working in Los Angeles.
I was introduced to Ilka Hartmann and her work in the process of directing another film, Indianland. Ilka's life and work really do merit a feature-length film. But for now, I hope that this can suffice to celebrate her and to introduce her to those that don't yet know and appreciate her work.
