Biography
Igor Evard was born in Vilnius in 1963. Graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute in 1985. Subsequently, he worked in a mine, climbed the mountains as a sports instructor. In 1992 he graduated from the Ryazan branch of the Moscow State Institute of Culture as an orchestra conductor and created an ensemble, which he led for a long time. Taught guitar playing.

He worked as a music journalist, since 1991 he was a leading and music editor at the radio STRC "Smolensk". Since 1994 - a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia . In 2000 he received the degree of "Candidate of Philosophical Sciences", having defended his thesis at the Moscow State University on the topic "Contemporary Russian Musical Culture: Socio-Philosophical Analysis". He taught at Moscow State University (since 2002 - the author of a course in aesthetics as a special discipline at Moscow State University. Since 2003 - Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy of Moscow State University), was director of the School of Creativity at Moscow University for the Humanities. In 2003 Igor Evard created the All-Russian musical and information newspaper “We Play from the Beginning. Da capo al fine ”and is currently its editor-in-chief. In 2014, the second competition was held in Kaluga with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kaluga Region. Igor received his composing education under the guidance of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Efrem Podgaits .

2003 - laureate of the composers' competition "Towards the Liberation of the Smolensk Region" (Smolensk)

2004 - author's concert in Algeciras (Spain) within the framework of the festival of Russian music of scholars of the International V. Spivakov Foundation.

2005 - laureate of the Euroorchestria festival of youth symphony orchestras of Europe (France).

2010 - the publication of the double CD "Oh, return the wings!", Which included romance compositions based on poems by Lorca and Lermontov, as well as chamber music by Igor Evard.

2012 - established and organized the I International Forum and Festival-Competition of Cellists, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Competition of Classical Romance, which was first held in Aktobe from 18 to 20 April 2012

In November 2018, the publishing house "Contemporary Music" published a collection of romances for voice and piano by Igor Evard. The collection includes vocal cycles “Listening to the Sounds” to poems by Mikhail Lermontov , “Lagoon of White Roses” to verses by Federico Garcia Lorca , romances to verses by Anna Akhmatova , Leonardo Quirini and Arthur Rimbaud .

Starting in 2020, Igor Evard began work in the “classical crossover” genre, which involves a synthesis of classical music with various modern trends. Having created the project Evard (from ward (English) - "guardian"), the musician is preparing to release his debut EP in this genre, which will combine three compositions in English.

The first single in this format - Rainbow Bridge - was released in July 2020. A video was shot in support of it by the famous music video maker Irina Mironova .
