If Homophobia Ended Tomorrow
A short documentary about "Pansy Project".
It is an insight into the project which aims to combat the homophobia through original artistic gesture.
Conceptual artist Paul Harfleet (the man behind the Pansy Project) plants pansies on the sites of homophobic abuse for fifteen years. With this act he tries to transform the memory of the city, to mark the places of homophobic attack and simultaneously to free it from the anger and bad memories highlighting the strength of the movement against homophobia. In Autumn 2019 Paul brought his project to Stavanger, Norway. Yet there were no pansies for him to plant...
This short film is documenting the new level of the Pansy Project and aims to explore the importance of the movement against homophobia in ostensibly "slightly settled" times.

Director Statement: One way or another, even documental nature of this project didn’t stop us from paying symbolical tribute to our favorite gay artists: Derek Jarman, Robert Mapplethorpe, Luca Guadagnino and surely Paul Harfleet. With this piece we want to believe that the day "when homophobia ended" becomes one step closer.
