Director Biography - Svetlana Mertsalova

Svetlana Mertsalova began her career as a writer. The first book was published in 2008. Now she has several books, of these, the most famous are "When a butterfly breaks its wings" and "The reverse side of glamor", "Resound of the past". In 2012 she graduated from the directing department of the Higher School of Directors and Screenwriters in St. Petersburg. She was a screenwriter and director of short films: "The Dolls Come to Live at Midnight", "Shoot faster, baby!", "Forget to remember", "Behind the mirror". Participant of the competition program of the 7th International Film Festival "DROP", 2017. Svetlana Mertsalova participated in several film festivals with her films ( "REC", "12MFF", "Window to Europe", "Oniros Film Awards", "Svoboda", "Rome Independent Prisma Awards", "Lisbon Film Rendezvous")
