Director Biography - Arema Arega

BIO

Arema Arega, Voronezh, cold summer of 79, is a cuban singer-songwriter, music producer, painter and fashion designer, living in Barcelona. Born from an Ethiopian father and a Cuban mother, her work, both pictorial and musical, are the result of this mixture. There are Blues with Son, Bossa with Jazz, Folk with Funk and ChaChaCha. Everything under the tropical influence of Cuba.

She is also one of Winners of the VII Premio de Ibermúsicas for Songwriters and one of the artists on the album Gilles Peterson Presents Havana Cultura : The Search Continues and the Gilles Peterson Presents Havana Cultura: Anthology. She was also invited by Bahama Soul Club to collaborate on their Albums The Cuban Tapes, The Havana ´58 , The Havana Remixes,"Bohemia After Dawn" and the Club des Belugas's Album Nine. The EP Blue Bossa - My Feeling released by Ramrock Records is a collaboration with the UK artist Born74. Her last releases, as a solo artist, are the Albums The Red Soundtracks, The Blue Soundtracks: The Light Seekers Journey and singles that are all part of The Soundtracks by Arema Arega, a developing project created as a score for an imaginary film, where she composes, produces, arranges and also makes her own music videos to introduce the listener to her cinematic world.

English version of INTENSAMENTE a story by Arema Arega

INTENSELY is part of a Project called GROWING LIKE THE WIND a collection of short stories about the human nature, its dreams, fears and philosophical paths, told in the form of parables and fables.

ABOUT INTESELY:

Life itself is a journey of discoveries, where no one can be missed or forgotten within their own path: A conversation of a grandad and his grandson, like a bridge between two worlds, that are always in motion.

MAKING THE ANIMATION:

THE SCHEDULE:

- I made the Story in Spanish, long time ago, in my teens years (When I was about 17 or 18) but I used the English version of it for the Animation

- The translation was made by me and Daniel Francis-Berenson

-I wrote the Script using Arc Studio Pro

- The Voice Over was made by the British voice over actor Daniel Francis-Berenson and recorded and edited by me.

- I made the Music using Native Instruments and Orchestral Instruments on Ableton

- The date I started the Animation project was on February the 2nd / 2022.

- I made all the he Drawings digitally, using Affinity designer.

- I did the Editing of the video animation on Final Cut Pro, constructing every frame by layers of drawings, using them as props.

- I finished the animation on August the 2nd / 2022
