Director Statement

When I moved to Los Angeles to attend USC, my only focus was making movies. But somewhere along the way, I found something I hadn’t realized I was looking for: love.

Yeah, it sounds horribly cheesy... But this film was born from that realization. It’s a story about two people trying to stay together as life, fear, and a clogged sink get in the way. But more than that, it’s a metaphor for how overwhelming love can feel, especially when you’re still figuring out who you are. That’s why the couple is played by children: to make literal the feeling of being in over your head in something very adult. It’s a simple concept, but one that speaks to something deep, vulnerable, and true.

This is my love letter to love. A declaration that it matters. A promise that, despite the noise of the world, finding someone to share it with is still the most valuable thing we can do.

As a filmmaker, I want to tell honest stories in over-the-top, satirical ways. This film is a strange, sweet, and slightly ridiculous step towards that, and I'm incredibly proud to share it with the world.
