Pēteris Ķimelis (1977–2023) was a film director, sound and video artist.
Pēteris studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, where he focused on sound and video art. After studying in Stockholm, he collaborated for a long time with the artist Katrina Neiburga, creating video projections for opera, ballet and theater performances, concerts and festivals.
Pēteris has created a series of audiovisual works of art, performances and music videos: audio design for the interactive installation "Talking stones" in the "Surprising Latvia" project, audiovisualization of Andras Neiburga's book "Stum Stum" in collaboration with Katrīna Neiburga and Mārtiņš Strautnieks, video for the song "The Hobos" "Walk All Night" and others.
