I Have A Boyfriend

For Emily, her boyfriend IS the centre of her universe. No one is ever good enough to approach her. She doesn't need you to pay for her when she loses her wallet. Don't bother trying to chase after her when she left something behind. When she is seconds away from getting murdered, will her boyfriend still be the first thing on her mind?

Director Statement

There are times when what you love doing becomes challenged by practicalities of the real world. Are my films going anywhere? What if I’m not succeeding as much as I think I am. You sometimes become like an old man who’s slightly less optimistic compared to when you are making your first film where you see all the possibilities however ambitious they can be. So, it’s important to have a supportive team around you as a reminder why we continue pursuing storytelling and continue to reinvigorate the same passion. And to make this short film work, it was paramount for the actors to be fully committed to essentially one single running joke.
