I GIORNI ALLA FINESTRA | visual poem

“I giorni alla finestra” è un visual-poem che narra del viaggio onirico che Aldo, ex corridore, viveva con l’immaginazione dalla finestra della sua stanza.

Aldo è un ex corridore siciliano cui è stata diagnosticata la Sclerosi Laterale Amiotrofica.

Ogni giorno al risveglio Aldo prova a volare oltre la cornice di quella finestra e i ristretti confini del suo corpo, abbandonandosi ai suoi ricordi attraverso gli occhi della moglie.

La finestra era l’ultima frontiera per Aldo. La vita che vedeva scorrere dinnanzi a sé riusciva a sfiorare ancora la sua immaginazione.

Ed eccolo correre con gli amici da bambino, con la ragazza che ha amato per tutta la vita e proseguire la corsa verso la sua maratona ed il gruppo di amici che per lui tutt’oggi continua a correre. I versi scandiscono i momenti della sua vita. I momenti di un corridore di lunga distanza.

"Days at the window" is a visual poem that tells of the dream journey that Aldo, a former runner, lived with his imagination from the window of his room.

Aldo is a former Sicilian runner diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Every day, upon awakening, Aldo tries to fly beyond the frame of that window and the narrow confines of his body, abandoning himself to his memories through his wife's eyes.

The window was the last frontier for Aldo. The life he saw passing before him still managed to touch his imagination.

And here he is, running with friends as a child, with the girl he loved all his life and continuing the race towards his marathon and the group of friends who continue to run for him today. The verses mark the moments of his life. The moments of a long distance runner.
