Director Biography - Thom Seddon, Sarah Woolf

Thom Seddon is an all round creative type based in Nottingham, where he lives with his husband and their two cats. He deems himself a representative for the weird and the queer.

By day he is mostly a writer working in fiction, script and poetry, and by night also works as a drag artist.

While he has published three literary collections to date and written many film and theatre scripts over the years, 'I FORGIVE YOU' is the first film he has been able to independently produce in collaboration with a cast and crew.

Sarah Woolf is a Nottingham based artist with a love for photography, videography and more recently, the world of filmmaking.

Her documentation of multiple regional films through behind-the-scenes photography proved to be invaluable experience for the making of ‘I FORGIVE YOU’.


Sarah feels her new-found perspective as Co-Director and Director of Photography is a natural progression and development of her work in the creative industry.

Director Statement

'I FORGIVE YOU' is the first production of Libra Season Films, a new collaboration between multi-disciplined artists Thom Seddon and Sarah Woolf. Pre-production meetings began in September 2023, with filming taking place over two days in early December, and the final cut being made in January 2024.

The creators are very proud to have made a film set in their hometown of Nottingham that features a cast with connections to the city.

As well as being the lead director on this particular project - with Sarah acting as Director of Photography - Thom wrote the script with the locations already in mind, and the knowledge that the film would focus on visuals and sound without the use of dialogue. The story was inspired by his near daily walks past the prison wall near his home, and imagining the journey a prisoner might go on after being released. The inclusion of a deaf character is based on Thom's personal experience with his decline in hearing over recent years.
