Experiencing Interruptions?

IF

Once upon a time, when the female population was more dominant. Wedding preparations by women's families were characterized by talks about married life. Mom (Wiwin) and Emih (Titi) were touched that their daughter and granddaughter Teteh (Shelvira) was getting married tomorrow. The conversation between the three women of different generations resulted in different statements about women's lives after marriage. Until the next day, Teteh said Ijab kabul (wedding vows) at her wedding.

Director Statement

A world of absurdity built on myth (because it hasn't happened yet) is that during the doomsday phase, the female population outnumbers the male. Reflecting on the conditions women around the world have experienced in their marriages, if we enter the doomsday phase, will it be women who marry men? Will this condition not cause patriarchy?
With all these conditions, the author imagines how things she has never experienced (marriage) will happen in the “apocalypse” phase, encouraging her to create works that talk about women and marriage. Stories passed down from generation to generation (grandmother and mother) to their children about marriage, through traditional Sundanese wedding advice and songs.
Imagining events that have been/are being experienced by my surroundings and may/will happen to me as a woman. Rotations that change in such a way through time and space, as well as the delivery of hopes, wishes, prayers that are full of symbolic meaning implicitly and frontally. “Lamun” is a title that means ‘If’, telling what if things that are usually done by men turn into being done by women.
