Director Statement

Shot out of the blue during a visit to a Thai tourist attraction, I am Sick for me is a testament to the wonder of spontaneity, creativity and empathy, I just happen to shoot stock footage while on this tiny boat cruising slowly through the custom build awfully artificial traditional Thai town when the boat broke down causing emergency exit, a few minutes later the staff said its operational again and so the ride continues and that is what you see from then on with the short, what strikes me most was the scream of the boat and in my deep gut I can feel it is suffering, the person operating it quietly yet soundly trying to fix or adjust the engine to last long enough for me and everyone on board to reach our destination, all throughout I somehow started to feel sorry for the boat and by the end I didn't wanna get off of it, I want it to be well but there was nothing I can do then keep filming, edit what i have and share my experiences with the audience hoping we can all remember atleast for me the sick boat
