I AM Jean-Claude
How does one recover from a childhood wound? Stuck between life and death, how does a living being transform into an inanimate object? This film is an audiovisual question dipped in black.
ANA - Arabic for I AM - is a series of 9 individual portraits by 9 filmmakers and audiovisual artists in which they explore their emotions, and intuitively transform them into video art.
'ANA' is conceived & produced by Home of Cine-Jam within the Intuitive Film Lab program created & conducted by Muriel Aboulrouss.

Jean-Claude (JC) Boulos is a Beirut-based filmmaker, producer, and audiovisual storyteller passionate about experimenting with form and narrative to spark conversations and document alternative perspectives. Since 2012, he has worked across directing, editing, set design, and screenwriting, building a diverse portfolio that includes short films, web series, and performance art. His project Letters to Fairuz, a collaboration with Ibi Ibrahim, was exhibited as part of the Diva’s Exhibition by Institut du Monde Arabe.
Beyond film, Jean-Claude has co-founded multiple cultural and social initiatives, including Share Your Story (2017), a platform for community-driven storytelling; In The Loop (2018), an environmental awareness initiative; and Fawra Media (2019), an independent media platform amplifying overlooked narratives.
Now, he and longtime collaborator Bachir Asmar are launching Ziggy’s, a boutique production house dedicated to films, series, and performance-based projects. Under this banner, they co-created Unframed, a web series exploring the stories of Lebanon-based artists.
Jean-Claude is currently developing the feature film Apocalypse (Right) Now, the second season of Unframed, and the comedy series Men Home La Hon, co-written with Marie-Louise Elia and Julien Kobersy.
