Hunt of the Hound
This is a storyboard of 5-minute short animated story.
Hunt of the Hound is intended to be an animated short film, blending the early 20th-century sci-fi horror aesthetic with 21st-century Urban Weird Tales, Japanese anime, and meta-narrative elements.
The storytelling of this work does not aim to educate, discipline, or provide the audience with a clear answer. Instead, it emphasizes the audience's own thoughts and interpretations as they experience the story.
The story follows an extradimensional hound that sets its sights on what appears to be a helpless girl. However, as it hunts her, anomalies begin to surface repeatedly. In the end, the hound is unexpectedly slain by this unknown existence.
There is also a third character—the narrator. As part of the meta-narrative, the narrator itself is a character within the story. However, it is not entirely reliable or objective in its storytelling. Instead, there are discrepancies between the narrator’s version of events and the actual story.
