Director Biography - Zane Barber

Zane grew up on a ranch just North of the New Mexican border. He began training in martial arts and wrestling at five, ultimately becoming a third degree black belt in American Freestyle karate, and a runner up in the Colorado State Wrestling Tournament. These athletic pursuits gave him a love for fight choreography and the aesthetics of movement. At seven he began acting in 1-3 local children's plays a year and got consistent lead roles starting at age 9. He played The Rat King in the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center's "The Nutcracker", the lead role in "The Burning Man", and continues to act in several projects every year. He also produces and directs his own work ranging from comedies to post-apocalyptic action/adventures.

Director Statement

I want to present a new world to audiences that demonstrates two things. Firstly, American society today is very lucky and our lives could always be worse. And lastly, to show that ultimately forgiveness is the only way to move beyond our past.
