Taro O’Halloran is a second generation Irish-Italian filmmaker from Boston, Massachusetts. His work portrays intimate glimpses at the everyday lives of imperfect people through a genre-film lens, often employing practical effects and a rough around the edge style that pays homage to the grindhouse films of yesteryear.
‘Humanzee’ is a story about fear, childhood, and the relationship between a fearful mother and her son nestled within a rough-around-the-edges, tactile style that pays homage to the kinds of movies you’d discover on TV long after your parents went to bed.
