Amirhossein Javaheri (b. 1986, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian filmmaker and screenwriter whose work explores the shifting boundaries between reality, imagination, and social experience through allegorical and formally adventurous narratives. After studying filmmaking at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, he directed the short films The Cockroach (2022) and The Unicorn (2024), which received positive responses in international festival and cinephile contexts. His latest work, Humaniforms (2026), a triptych of experimental short films currently awaiting release, continues his interest in transformation, hybrid narrative forms, and speculative approaches to contemporary human experience. Javaheri is a member of Collectif Jeune Cinéma and the Iranian Short Film Association (ISFA).
