Director Biography - Ashlyn Kennedy

Ashlyn Kennedy is a first-time filmmaker and long-time movie enthusiast. She studies film at Baylor University and is set to graduate in 2026. She wrote, directed and edited the short film "How to Hide a Dead Body in 6 Easy Steps!" Kennedy plans on pursuing producing and screenwriting, with the goal of using the medium of film to tell stories that connect people.

Director Statement

A fun, wild ride, "How to Hide a Body in 6 Easy Steps!" was created to provide a comedic escape with a lot of heart. Shooting in such a small space came with unique challenges, but the collaborative process to push beyond this and give people something people to laugh about was my focus. I wanted to make something unexpected and entertaining, both for viewers and for myself as a filmmaker.
