Director Biography - Yinghai Hu

After graduating from the High School Affiliated to China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Hu Yinghai was admitted to the Department of Photography of Beijing Film Academy in 2017 with the highest score in China.
Hu is not only the director but also the cinematographer for his short film "Summer Behind the Door". It won the Best Cinematography at ISFVF (International Student Film and Video Festival of Beijing Film Academy) , the 1st prize in Experimental Image Unit of the 13th Xianli Award, the Best Animated Experimental Short Film in the main competition unit of the 4th New Era Youth Film Season, and the 1st prize of Agnes Varda Award.
As a 23-year-old fresh graduate, he has already put himself into his first fantasy feature film. In fact, he has been striving to create various surreal films. Nearly 10 years of painting experience has made him perceive films with his unique painting thoughts, eager to gain deep resonances with subconscious minds of the audience through visual expression of the images.
