Honor Song

Celebrating the long history and service of Native Americans in the United States military, Veterans of the Southwest share personal stories and perspectives of their military service and their cultural experience. Honor Song, serves to highlight the continuing dedication of service in the military; the particularly high level of representation of Native American females; and how the integration of cultures plays a role for the future.

Director Biography - ryan begay

Ryan Begay (Diné) A US Air Force veteran. Attended the Colorado Film School in Denver, Colorado. Completed BFA in New Media Art from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ryan has written and directed numerous short films, music videos, PSAs and continues to work behind the camera. Ryan continues to Write, Direct and Act as well as develop ideas for a stronger Diné/Native American presence in Film and Television both in front of and behind the camera.
