Award winning director, Celia Jaspers has over 25 years in the industry and has amassed vast experience in all aspects of production for film and television. She has extensive experience across all trades - theatre, television and film. As lead creative, her programmes have won awards from the 48 Hours Film Festival, New York Festivals international Television and Film Awards, Asian Television Awards, Jackson Hole Science Media Awards and the International Wildlife Film festival. She proudly accepted a Silver World Medal for “Best Direction” in 2019 NYF awards in Las Vegas. And her short film created for V48 Hours Film festival Lockdown 2020, became a top 10 finalist from over 2000 entries and scooped Best Family Film. She is currently a judge for the New Zealand Film and Television Awards and the New York Festivals Awards. Member of WIFT and the DEGNZ.
Filmaking is my passion and life. While I have had a long career in factual television production, I am now making a transition to narrative work and filmaking. With two short films made in 2020, I have a strong background in both editing and cinematography and am now working towards strong skills in directing of actors and performance.
