Director Statement

Without a doubt my favourite film I've directed. Had a fun and cathartic time writing this script personally. Despite the sad elements in the story, I do see this film about letting that part of that must die, die in order for you to become your best self. I definitely went on a journey with these characters and their shared stories. I really wanted to take a look at a strong Plutonic friendship which is loving, but also not shy away from all the ugly elements that come with trauma, holding stuff in and refusing to let go.

For visual style I tried to have a more stripped back approach than some of my previous films, I wanted to evoke a feeling of nostalgia and memories which I think Brendan did a fantastic job on.

I was absolutely thrilled with my main cast. Sophie, Henry, Greg, Jake and Sarah were all phenomenal to work with and were unbelievable on screen. I will always fondly remember our rehearsal together and the discussions we had on each character. Some of my favourite performances I've ever directed.

The Original score by Audi Nathania was truly special to me, holding a huge place in my heart. Accompanied as well by the wonderful "Still Some Magic" written and Performed by Dana Lee Al Qattan and David Hamilton. This song was written and recorded specially for the film and it really holds a special place in my heart.

I have to say once again a huge thanks to the entire cast and crew, the venues for letting us shoot there and my family for all their support. For whoever watches, I hope they find something they truly enjoy.
