Working on this film was an absolute artistic and personal goddess send. I have a long history working in the theatre and have always been a bit suspicious of film, the “permanent” medium. But working on this project hammered home so many wonderful lessons of “team” and “ensemble” for me. I could not have succeeded in this project without the team that I was so fortunate to be placed within. I feel like my vision for this work came to fruition only because I had such a great team believing in me and in this fantastic script, using every skill they had to make it happen. In our current world of chaos and ’misses’, both personal and political, it’s important to remember what can be achieved when we say ‘YES, that’s great’ to all the other brilliant minds in the room, and don’t hold ourselves and our ideas precious above… but precious ‘because’.
