History, Food and Drink "The flavors of the Camino Real"

In 73 minutes you will discover the evolution of Mexican food, starting in the 15th century and ending in the 20th century. You will have as a guide: “El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro”. The trip will begin in Mexico City, focusing on the state of Chihuahua and ending in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
From the pozole and pulque of the Aztecs to the dried meat and sotol of the Dorados of Pancho Villa, the evolution of food before and during the viceroyalty until the current era will be told.

“El Camino Real” active from the 16th to the 19th century, was a 2,560 km New Spain trade route from Mexico City to the city of Santa Fe, N.M., today the United States.

Director Biography - Gerardo Sergio Chapa Gonzalez, Guillermo Gutierrez

Gerardo is a graduate of U.A.G. and began in the visual arts by founding redlatitud in 2012. A company focused on video marketing, where he produced history programs for television channels. On TV Chihuahua regional Channel 73 of IZZI "Mas alla de la Historia with Miguel Anguiano" and "Detras de la historia with Pedro Fernández". He is passionate about Geopolitics, history and good food.

Mainly we want the documentary HISTORY, FOOD AND DRINK to go further, to be a life project that supports local Chroniclers, tourism, the consumption of regional products and promotes among young people and adults the pleasure of learning about our history in a pleasant way, through food. "Our food tells us more than we imagine".
