His Green Century
Joan Carulla has been an ecologist even before the word was invented. At 99 years old, he has experienced the struggles of the Spanish Civil War and the urbanization in Barcelona. Due to the Civil War, he found a way of survival in agriculture and has found his own way of living in cultivating his own food, preaching universal love, and living ecologically since. As hopeful as he is, he wants to raise awareness about the importance of being green and sustainable. His green roof in the middle of Barcelona is full of life and portrays his fondness for plants, people, and peace.
