Director Statement

We, have been living in lies.

Taiwan is an island but we build polluting factories and nuclear power plants along the coast and turn the sea into a dumping ground. There are no respects to the sea as we overfish and pump wastewater into it. “We’re a country built on the ocean”, the political slogan seems ever so ironic. I think that a derelict village is the perfect backdrop for a scandal crime drama.

I only hope that the sea will be pristine and respected by people again.
