Director Biography - Eva Fulco

Eva has been a registered nurse since 2015 and moved into the film world in 2022- enjoying directing, writing, acting, and general playing/creating. She has always been curious about people and the ways visual media can tell their stories, connect people, or make people laugh- and hopes to do that in her own work.

Director Statement

When we filmed "Hi, Anxiety!", my only intention was to create a short comedy for the 48 Hour Film Project. But because this project and personifying my anxiety has been so helpful to me, I want to make it accessible to a wider audience as comedic relief/ a possible tool they can utilize as well. When I have anxious thoughts, "here comes the loud, annoying chain-smoker in the sparkly red dress" has become my go-to technique to separate anxious thoughts and not let "her" define me.
