Director Statement

As a director, the key to Heptanesia was to create a visual counterpart to the Indian influenced torch song/ode to Bombay Tanuja had created. I wanted a sensual and sinuous feel set against the backdrop of Mumbai - very much East and West meeting - just like the novel on which the song is based.
