Held Without Consent
Held Without Consent is a short experimental film that explores observation, control, and moral distance through a sequence of carefully composed images.
A woman is seen behind glass, distant and inaccessible. Animals and environments shift between public and controlled spaces, while bodies are framed without explanation or narrative guidance. The camera remains observational, never aligning with a subject, placing the viewer in a position of quiet complicity.
As the film unfolds, seemingly neutral moments begin to reveal underlying systems of control. The boundaries between care, surveillance, and participation become increasingly blurred.
Without dialogue or resolution, Held Without Consent invites the viewer to confront the act of looking—and the responsibility that comes with it.
