Hedgehogs Have Fallen
Dan Murch, a university student at UCL interested in London's wildlife embarks on a journey to uncover the realities behind the steep decline in London’s hedgehog population. During Dan's quest he interviews Londoners to find out exactly how much they know about this iconic British species. His subsequent interviews with professionals involved in conservation efforts leave us with an important message on how we can also contribute to saving London’s hedgehogs.

The rich biodiversity found on the island nation of Taiwan, where I grew up drove my passion for wildlife. Since a young age, I have been fascinated with all aspects of the natural world and have always wanted to study zoology. During my time in South Africa, training for my field guide of Southern Africa (FGASA) accreditation, I began developing skills in wildlife photography and cinematographer. I am currently studying a Masters in Zoology at UCL in London and hope to embark on a career in wildlife filmmaking once I graduate.
Through my still and moving images, I wish to use my guide training and academic knowledge to introduce my audience to the fascinating characters of the natural world.
