Friday, 10/25, 7-10pm: this red-carpet VIP reception at Alvernia University's state-of-the-art building in downtown Reading is an event not to be missed! Join us for red-carpet interviews by NESN's own Sophie Sargent and mingle with industry experts, press, filmmakers, and sponsors all while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and great music by Jake Joyce! Come dressed to impress! After-party to follow at B2 Bistro + Bar!
Saturday, 10/26: Registration opens at 9:30am for a full day of educational workshops, panel discussions, speakers, product demos and more which will take place from 10am-4pm at Alvernia University. A sample of the workshops include Cinematography & product demo with Kyle Rudolph, Screenwriting, Film Distribution 101, Funding your Film, Acting with Kevin Craig West, and more! Plus, guests will have an opportunity to have professional headshots taken as well as be filmed for & receive a professionally edited video spot that can be used for promotional purposes.

Sunday, 10/27: The box office at RACC's Miller Center for the Arts opens at 9:30am for a full day of film screenings beginning at 10am. Filmmaker Q&A's will take place between blocks and the winner will be announced at the conclusion of the final Top 4 block with a 7:30pm presentation of the $25,000 award for Best Short Film. Immediately following the awards presentation will be the closing reception & celebration in the lobby for those who purchased an evening ticket. Food provided by B2 Bistro + Bar, adult beverages by Deerfoot Winery and Sly Fox Brewing Co, & music by recording artist Jay Lapp!

Where can I find the full schedule of festival events?

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to attend the Friday night opening reception and the Sunday night awards celebration. ID required to consume alcohol.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Events @ Alvernia University, 401 Penn Street, Reading, PA: Parking is available at a meter on the street using Park Mobile or one of the pay kiosks, or at one of the Reading Parking Authority garages. The closest garages the Chiarelli Garage at 3rd and Washington St or the 4th and Cherry Garage. The garages take cash or credit card in the lowest level or you can use park mobile. The garages are gateless - a picture of your license plate is taken when entering and leaving to verify times. Once entered, you have 15 minutes to pay. All parking is paid to and monitored by the Reading Parking Authority.
Events @ the Miller Theater (on RACC's campus), 4 North 2nd St, Reading, PA: There is parking available in any of the RACC student lots for free on a first come first serve basis. Student lot E is the closest flat lot to the venue, located on Front Street. This lot is located next to the Yocum Library (address is 30 South Front Street, Reading PA 19602). There is a parking garage located next to the college and it can be entered from 27-51 N Front Street as well as from Washington Street. The garage does not accept cash. Parking in the garage is pay by the ParkMobile app or at the kiosk that is located in the garage. Below is a link with more information.
Where can I stay if I'm traveling from out of town?
The Courtyard by Marriott (located at 150 N. Park Road, Reading, PA) is the official hotel sponsor. Discounted rates are available using the room block name HAYDENFILMS. What's the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person by sending a request to ethode@haydenfilmsinsitute.org. Speakers, panels, screening times, etc are subject to change without prior notice.
