Havelock Express
Havelock Express is a dramatic psychological thriller shot in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario! We are 3rd year students at Sheridan College in the Bachelor of Film and Television program creating an 8 minute version of this film for our Core class.
I have grown up in Lindsay Ontario and look to continue using the area as a set for my films. The landscape and buildings have so much history and aesthetic and I believe they should be utilized.
We are looking to not only make this film but also promote the Kawartha Lakes and business's within it as a great location for talent to come and film and photograph.
The film log line:
During 1929 on a turn of the century train, Jesse Livermore, a wealthy stock trader finds himself sitting across from a stranger with a very convincing offer. Through unsettling questions, Jesse soon comes to the conclusion that this might not be a stranger at all but someone looking for revenge.
The film is inspired by true events of a wealthy stock trader who profited off the great stock market crash of 1929.
