Director Biography - Joe Greening

American Film Institute directing fellow Joe Greening is a writer/director from Minneapolis, Minnesota, working in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 2019. From a young age, Joe knew he wanted to make movies, and made several with his friends and neighbors growing up. He studied film production in Moorhead, Minnesota, graduated in 2017 and has since shot commercial, feature and short form films of all genres, with a particular affinity for horror.

Director Statement

In July I moved away from friends and filmmakers that I've grown so close to during my time in Colorado. This project was a way for us to get together and create something as one last "hurrah."

We tried to craft a story with twists and turns that you can't predict, with moments of terror and humor that finds a balance in something that doesn't take itself too seriously.
The story also is saying something. One of the actors put it best when she said,"men are afraid of being laughed at and women are afraid of being murdered." Overall, the main goal was to create something that was fun as hell to experience, and we hope you enjoy what we've come up with.
