Director Statement

The idea for the film came to me after reading a story of a Russian grave digger that dressed up 29 bodies because he thought they were alive. That seemed like an interesting idea for me. What if we tell a similar story but from the point of view of the grave digger? It all started from there, I started to fall in love with the story, I wrote a script that had three different drafts, with professors that helped me develop the story and the characters. I wanted to tell a story that does not spoon feed the audience the whole story, I wanted to tell it by small details and signs that tell you: "something is not right here", I believe me and my team achieved that. There is something eerie about Reinaldo's performance, mix with the music and the shots, it is so much more from what I imagined in my mind. It was a great first professional experience and I can't wait to do it more often. I want to keep making stories and films that let the viewer use their mind and think while watching and hearing.
