Emeara is a debut film director who has worked as an actor in plays like 'The House of Bernarda Alba' in Belgrade. She is a writer/director who has explored physical movement through her plays in the past and currently working on directing more short films.
I have always been fascinated by the dynamics of closed spaces in bustling cities and broken people who inhabit them. The idea of food as an integral part of our life and having someone to share a simple meal is reflection of true joy. I have always wanted to tell stories that are close to my heart and this is my first attempt to tell a story about the often forgotten people who eat meals alone in their closed spaces. The story is inherently about brokenness and connection between food and loneliness, seeking comfort in familiarity.
