HUMAN O.A.K.

Inspired by the famous "Ode to the West Wind", written by Percy Bysshe Shelley and published in 1820 by Charles in London, HUMAN O.A.K. is the story of a new type of humanity. The story of a child who, in the time of a sunset, becomes a girl, forced to quickly leave behind the life she had, before everything changed, the memory of her mother with whom she used to play and their poems that now sound like an omen. In an abstract, melancholic present, drenched in nature, this little girl continues her journey until she reaches a large oak tree. There, among books hung to mature, she meets another child, a little boy. Maybe they already knew each other. Among visions of a recent past, memories and nature, life is renewed for all humanity.
The film is dedicated to the 200th year anniversary of "Ode to the West Wind". (This is the only International co-production happened between Europe & India during Covid-19 lockdown)

Director Biography - Ulisse Lendaro

Ulisse Lendaro is an Italian producer and director, born in Vicenza and living in Rome. After being awarded as an actor with a special mention from the theater critics at Premio Hystrio in 2004 and after his acting performances in many theater productions, Lendaro produces and is cast as lead actor in the horror “Medley – Brandelli di scuola”, by Gionata Zarantonello, a cult movie in the US. In 2017 he directs the movie “Imperfect Age”, that premiers at the Festival del Cinema di Roma with great success with the public and the critics. Lendaro in 2019 makes the short movie “En Pointe” with the participation of Roberto Bolle, in competition at Giffoni Film Festival 2020.

In 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdown, Lendaro writes and directs the short movie “Human O.a.k. – Human of a kind”, the only Italian-Indian coproduction happening during that time.

Director Statement

Human O.A.K. was developed, written and made during the lockdown, caused by the Covid pandemic. This is the only international film co-production with India entirely made during the Covid-19 lockdown.
I met Jitendra Mishra in the Czech Republic a few years ago and we became good friends, we share the same mindset & approach toward good international cinema. I am very hopeful that together we take this film to the next level; our joint effort may act as a catalyst and open doors of international opportunities for others in these challenging times.
