My name is Ben Ervin (He/Him). I graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design as part of the class of 2023. 2D animation and game development were my areas of study and continue to be my passion.

Director Statement

This film is based on a true story. Kind of.

In the summer of 2022, my beloved family dog Audrey sadly passed away. We had her for maybe 13 years, so it was heartbreaking to see her go after watching her grow from just a puppy. Just one month later, my boyfriend Ryan's family dog, Yoshi, also passed away. It was equally devastating. The two never met, so for my senior thesis, I thought it would be fun if they went on an adventure through the afterlife.

In April, I posted a form for people to submit the names of their recently deceased dogs to be put in the credits. To my surprise, I gathered over 300 names! The whole thing sort of became a tribute to dead dogs everywhere.
