HEAVENS' BELL

Two people survived the brutal family massacre 20 years ago. A 10-year-old girl who survived by hiding in a closet, and a third culprit whose existence was somehow erased. It was reported that there were two suspects, but both died under suspicious circumstances. The girl, Natsumi, was taken in by a relative. 20 years later, Natsumi, who has grown up, receives a photo from an unknown sender. It shows a man lying dead under a distinctive stained glass window.
Natsumi identifies the location using clues written on the back of the photo and heads to a town in Area 4, an extraterritorial area.

Director Biography - Kyoji Kamui

Director Kyoji Kamui was active in many films and TV dramas mainly in the 1990s. He later retired from acting, but in 2018 he began producing films in his own unique style. His unique worldview and storytelling have drawn attention for his sense that is different from other Japanese film directors.

Director Statement

"Heavens' Bell" is the fifth feature film produced by our company (TEAM KAMUI) since we began film production in 2018. In addition to detective drama-like mystery solving, gunfights, fights, and other action scenes, it is an ensemble drama featuring many comical characters.
