HEAL YOUR SOUL
"HEAL YOUR SOUL" is not only a story about a music therapist, but also a story about each of us. It inspires us to explore the healing power of music and understand the true meaning of family and love. It also inspires us to think about how to find our place and heal our hearts in this ever-changing era.
Hainan Island, where the film was shot, not only provides our story with a charming natural scenery card, but also adds a unique regional color to the work. Hainan's local rhythm of life, customs and customs have invisibly penetrated into every moment of the story, giving the film a richer cultural connotation.

Sheng Wenkai, born on January 21, 1987, in Hami, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, carries his love for his hometown and ethnic group into his film and television works. Emerging from the western region of China, Sheng Wenkai, as a rising young director, is gaining increasing recognition and praise for his innovative creative concepts and personalized directing style. As a passionate filmmaker and screenwriter, he focuses on bringing vivid stories and complex characters to the big screen. Sheng Wenkai continuously explores the potential of cinematic art with his unique artistic perspective, injecting new vitality and charm into Chinese cinema. His works are filled with expressions of affection for his homeland and culture.
As a passionate and creative film director and screenwriter, I focus on bringing vivid stories and complex characters to the big screen.
My work aims to challenge the audience's thoughts and emotions through tight narratives, deeply personal characterizations, and carefully crafted visuals.
I strive for the perfect balance of originality and artistry and am constantly exploring new boundaries between various subject matter and styles.
My films are both products of personal expression and vehicles for audiences to experience depth and breadth, designed to enlighten the soul, explore humanity, and celebrate life in all its diversity.
As a director, I feel deeply honored to be able to present such a film and television work with profound connotations. This is not only a film that showcases the unique culture of Hainan Island and the science of music therapy, but also a new attempt in the Chinese film and television industry. Through the affectionate portrayal of the protagonist Bunraku, the film explores the power of music therapy and individual self-redemption, while reflecting society's changes in personal identity and emotional sustenance.
Every aspect of music therapy in the film has received strict review and support from relevant units and professionals. Music therapy has been developing since the 1940s, but until today, there has not been a feature film focusing on music psychotherapy in China. The birth of this work not only fills this gap, but also marks that domestic films have entered a new stage in paying attention to social issues.
During the filming process, the creative team and I deeply studied the complex relationship between music and spiritual healing, focusing on conveying sincere emotions in the characters and stories. We use innovative storytelling techniques and incorporate actual music therapy documentary footage to enhance authenticity and allow viewers to directly experience the impact of this therapy.
HEAL YOUR SOUL is more than a movie, it is a testament to profound insights into music, love, family and social values. We strive to make the audience feel the brilliance of humanity during the viewing process, which comes from the exploration of the healing power of music and the praise of courage in real struggles.
