Gray and Lover The Hearth Tales Incident
Genre: Horror / Dark Fantasy / Dark Comedy
People fear demons.
Demons fear Gray and Lover.
Based in Seattle, two feared operatives working within a secret global network are dispatched when an ancient occult book triggers a supernatural disaster—exposing the dangerous machinery that suppresses demons, artifacts, and truths too destabilizing for the modern world.
The story begins when Saleel, an Afghan translator and occultist, sends a forbidden book to his old friend Bryce O’Shaunessy, a successful horror writer living in Seattle—then pays for the act with his life. Unaware of the book’s true power, Bryce becomes the target of a corrupted summoning ritual orchestrated by his estranged wife, Kas, and a manipulative voodoo priest seeking revenge through dark magic.
As a malformed demon is unleashed into the city, reality begins to fracture. Enter Gray and Lover: a steampunk-styled, highly skilled duo whose reputation in the occult world is simple—if they’re coming for you, even demons panic. Tasked with protecting Bryce, they race across Seattle’s shadowy underbelly as the demon stalks its prey, growing more dangerous with every mistake made in its creation.
While Bryce reconnects with his old friend Frank over drinks by the hearth, unaware of how close the threat has become, Gray and Lover confront a supernatural enemy that bends time, feeds on desire, and refuses to obey its own summoning rules. When the final attempt to stop the demon goes catastrophically wrong, the consequences reveal that the book—and the forces behind it—are part of something far larger and far older than anyone anticipated.
Blending horror, dark humor, mythology, and erotic menace, Gray and Lover: The Hearth Tales Incident introduces a franchise-ready world where demon hunters operate in the margins of reality, and every solved problem opens the door to a far worse one.

Storytelling is the thread that connects every chapter of my life, whether through the written word, the lens of a camera, or the intricate weave of a screenplay. I write to explore the human condition, to challenge perspectives, and to uncover the truths lurking in the shadows. My work often balances on the edge of reality and imagination, blending drama, horror, and speculative fiction with moments of levity and humanity.
With every project, I strive to create stories that linger—narratives that provoke thought, spark emotion, and invite audiences to see the world differently. From the antiwar reflections of "Pvt. Ravel’s Bolero" to the haunting elegance of "Gumdrop" and the gritty realism of "The Teenage Bodyguard," my goal is always the same: to craft something authentic, meaningful, and unforgettable.
As a writer, I am endlessly curious, drawing from a diverse background in psychology, martial arts, technical expertise, and life’s adventures. My stories are grounded in the rich complexities of human experience, shaped by my belief that the best tales challenge us to confront the unknown and emerge changed.
