Good Love
"Good Love" is a documentary film of a collection of conversations surrounded around love. In an intimate sit down, each participant discusses their own personal perspectives on the complexity of love. Ranging from 5-year Kiera to 84-year-old Gaytri and everyone in between, "Good Love" is a reminder of the beauty of love as Gary Beals and team sit down with everyday people who give us hope that the world is a much better place when we contribute to giving just a little bit more love. (Set against the backdrop of Gary Beals song "Good Love")

Director's Statement
The documentary for Good Love was shot over one day in Toronto and features diverse subjects of different ages and ethnic backgrounds, who express what love means to them,
drawing on their rich and varied life experiences.
What does love mean to you? It’s not easy to answer this simple question. We created a cosy and comfortable atmosphere for our subjects, to open up and have a heart-to-heart on love. That’s what we want you to see and feel, like you’re there...having a coffee and a conversation, sitting on your friend’s couch.
As love gets reduced to the swipe of a finger and a “numbers game”, we want you to pause...and take it in like a deep breath.

Filmmaker's Statement
My vision for the doc was to create a piece that was reflective of everyday people giving their personal thoughts on love. I wanted to find a way to birth conversation around a topic so simple, but yet so complex. Love is something I believe we all yearn to give and desire to feel whether consciously or subconsciously so I wanted to create a piece to hear intimate perspectives from a diverse group of people.
My album "Bleed My Truth" explores themes of self-love, platonic and romantic love and because I am so passionate about my project my vision was to produce something different and authentic that could support my album. The doc was inspired by my song "Good Love". The simplicity of the song really allows me to reflect; it feels like a mantra. The doc is a way for me to introduce something more than music; it's another form of giving love to the world. My hope is that the doc allows people to feel certain emotions through the stories of others. I want people to see themselves in the participants and it be a way to ignite and empower others to give more thought to how we can contribute more love to ourselves and to the world. Like the album, the doc is eclectic, it's honest, it's heartfelt and it's liberating! I'm humbled by the experience to create this doc with such amazing souls! - Gary Beals
