Good Feng Shui
What is the impact of the deceased on the living person? Where are those deceased? And what will they do? Perhaps they are also influencing us in their own ways, turned into a piece of ashes to get close to you, or turned into a tree staring at you, or even turned into a piece of stone that tripped you over accidentally when you walk…The film unfolded by narrating the literal and potential meanings of " The Precious Land with Good Feng Shui ", established a connection among Yin,Yang, time and space by earthquakes, presenting the deceased father to his son as a normal living person. The son had gone back to collect all the valuables, but he didn't expect that his father had already left and wrote a death note and left everything to him. All this looks like planned by his father. The Precious Land with Good Feng Shui has become a place of nothingness, and his bond with his deceased father is getting deeper and deeper.

In China, the ideology of "Family" is very deep, but the pace of rapid development that people is chasing in nowadays has made the distance between family members far apart. There are large numbers of incidents that involved the elderlies who chose to commit suicide because they couldn’t accept the solitary life or they were afraid of becoming burdens to their children, most of them left the world helplessly. Such as the character of Lao Chen, his son did not return even until the day he died. In traditional Chinese customs, the deceased family members must be buried in a precious land with good Feng Shui in order to benefit the family, Lao Chen hoped that his departure could change the current situation little bit, but he never thought that even this consequence could be so dull and helpless. There is no messages from his son at all. Even his son makes a trip back home, it would only because it’s profitable. In this film, it might be a dream of the son or a dream of the father.
This film attempts to use the camera (audience) as a perspective of the soul, and the entire forest is like a urn framed. Because Lao Chen's ashes were not buried in the treasured geomancy site, his son's return to the countryside was like returning to a huge urn, tumbling and vibrating.
