Gods Die Too
A film about heroes. Text of film:
Gods … Gods die too
I've seen it happen
Searched for a spirit on a once-familiar trail
Lamented the ashes of one very dear
Some, like Beowulf, after a long and glorious life
Of deception, manipulation, and the enslavement of others
Some, like Achilles, at the beginning of such a life
But others live loudly with love and compassion
Or quietly so
And those are the only passings I mourn
Gods … Gods die too
They must have done it for the money … money
No, I understand – I just never thought of it that way … that way
Searched for a spirit … lamented the ashes
Some like Beowulf … some like Achilles
But others live loudly with love and compassion … others … others
Or quietly so
Those are the only passings I mourn
They must have done it … quietly so … quietly … quietly so
