Go Home Now

Combining the talents of a filmmaker and music producer on opposite sides of the earth, ‘Go Home Now’ features melancholic beats by Athens-based Autow Nite Superstore and a dance narrative by New Zealand artist Natasha Cantwell, that hovers between wistful and creepy.

The music video captures the filmmaker’s take on the lyric “and we can both live out our lives and grow old” with one dancer succumbing to life’s inevitabilities and the other fighting against them.

Shot in December 2019, the lush colours of the Melbourne locations were captured vividly on 16mm film shortly before the Australian summer bushfires covered the city in a smoke haze, and the heat waves turned the parkland crispy brown. Here, even the landscape surrenders to the harsh reality that nothing lasts forever.
