She refined her visual sensibilities at Emily Carr University and has also earned a diploma in film production. Her award winning documentary short 'A Common Thread' is viewable on The Green Channel. She is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada and has over a decade experience working in film & television as an assistant director.
GNAW is a story about how women can be so hard on ourselves and our bodies, as well as how that can interfere with our relationships. Our protagonists' obsession and shame leads her down a dark path which results in an unsettling terror. Our entry point is a hangnail which everyone can relate to. It was fun to explore this with Luvia Petersen and Bethany Brown while playing with psychological horror and body horror genres.
The script was written by Meg Turner, a Canadian non-binary & autistic upcoming horror screenwriter who's feature film ORGAN TRAIL was produced by Paramount Pictures and had a theatrical release earlier this year.
